Dead Red Apparel - Our Story
Baseball has been a lifelong passion in my family, passed down from generation to generation. My name is Bobby Minor, and I fell head over heels for America's pastime as a 6-year-old going to games with my grandmother, watching the Texas Rangers play at old Arlington Stadium. The sights, sounds, and smells of the ballpark ignited a spark in me that still burns bright today.
I went on to play NCAA Division 1 college baseball, coached high school and travel ball for several years, and even spent four years running an event in the Dominican Republic with an MLB Hall of Famer's son. My love for the game runs deep.
When my oldest son Caleb was three, he started playing tee-ball with five and 6-year-olds. Seeing the joy and excitement in his eyes as he gripped the bat brought back fond memories of my own childhood. Baseball bonded us together and created cherished moments I'll never forget.
Now, my youngest, Julian, is carrying on the family legacy playing college baseball at a Division 1 JUCO here in Texas on a full-ride. I beam with pride watching him chase his dream on the diamond just as I once did.
With a shared passion for baseball spanning three generations, Dead Red Apparel was born. It started with some creative shirt designs for me and the boys. We infused our love for the game into wearable art. Friends wanted in on the action and urged us to make more. So, we decided to launch Dead Red Apparel and share our brand with fellow baseball lovers everywhere.
